Coast Salish lands and communities are living libraries. From living libraries stem Indigenous language and story. Please join Jane Alcorn, Penelakut and Patricia Geddes, Librarian and Coordinator for Indigenous Initiatives, in the sharing and learning together from living libraries for a welcoming hour of Hul’q’umi’num language and story at VIU Library.

Anyone interested in learning, listening, and practicing Hul'q'umi'num' language is invited to join us. As a lunch plus session, you are invited to bring your lunch and one small food item or snack to share with attendees.

Accessibility directions for sessions scheduled on September 12 and September 26 in building 305 room 444: Use the main floor library elevator located directly behind Starbucks to access the meeting space on the 4th floor.

Accessibility directions for session scheduled on September 19 in building 305 room 274: Use the 2nd floor building 305 entrance behind the bookstore or use the building 305 east elevator to access the 2nd floor.
